They make my leather softer.
But really they should ( I say should, I don't know exactly of course) add 20 hp maybe?
I know my intake + "race ecu" is advertised at 22hp gain (and it seems that it's been proven correct, actually)
So I should be running ~215-220 WHP I guess. Stock is like 170 WHP

Lol. But furreal. I love the IS300. And every time I find something new that enhances it, I get a bit more tingly for it...

The problem is all this stuff is crazy expensive for not that much horsepower in reality. I'm reading threads on http://my.is/ from like 2006 saying "Oh sometime soon they'll have x product that will get 30hp for $500" and they just never came out. Ever. The only real power gains you get on this car are from turbos and even then it's better to engine swap it with a 2JZ-GTE. My dad doesn't want to do lightness and handling mods as much though for some reason. He likes straightline speed but I'm telling him without spending loads of (my) money, it's not happening. I'm happy with the exhaust and headers though, they will help with my butt dyno and also sound awesome!

That's quite an expensive option. Is the transmission the same as yours though? Could you just turbo the engine and be fine?

oohhh, nice. I personally went with the Manzo exhaust from eBay. It's eerily quiet though.
I wanna get those Dezod green headers, but they're about 1,000 smackeroos, so I'm definitely saving up my pennies.

No and yes. Mine's an auto (sadly) and is the same transmission as the auto Supra. But, the problem with the 2JZ-GE (my engine. Non turbo) is that it's harder to make power from than the already turbo'd GTE. Also you can't run nearly as much boost. Still a great engine though.

You'll love it. Not much better than an IHE'd IS300 slowly pulling out of a lot. Like a lion slowly gargling..

Well
You could probably get that out of a turbo with the stock engine. Transmission could take it too I think (they usually take up to 400 if I'm not mistaken). Would probably cost you about 7 grand with all new parts and labor (without the car's price of course).
You also could then just buy an already turbo'd one. That'll run you $15-20 grand.
Or you could do an engine swap with a 2JZ-GTE from an Aristo. You can then make that power easy and it'll be cheaper to do. But then you're stuck with a 4 speed auto (bleh). I think you could then swap the transmission but you'd have to poop on the ecu a few times.

Oh and if you do get one, read up on how to take out the clutch dampening device. It makes the clutch too spongy.

I'm down with the buying a Sport manual and putting an SRT Turbo on it. I think that would be a badass little DD.
Thanks bud!

Sport? You mean Sportdesign? Or Sportcross? Sportdesign's are just appearance packages (not bad ones though), and the Sportcross is the wagon which is an Auto only. SRT makes good stuff, but it might (check for yourself though, I'm not 100% sure) be cheaper to piece together your own kit. Also...uh...SRT has the worst customer service you will ever find. It took 5 months for my Intake from them to get here, but they didn't tell me it would take that long. Oh no. Instead, they kept on saying "Oh, another week we swear and It'll be there! We shipped it!"

The Sportdesign came with an LSD for a couple years as well as being an appearance package. I live in an area where it's hot in the summer, but we also get some decent snow in the winter. I need a limited-slip.

A lot of cars without the Sportdesign came with LSD's too. They have some sort of vin code you can check for it. I'd google it. Mine doesn't have an LSD and I reaaaallllyyyy need one. I'm sick of peg leg burnouts. LSD's are hard to find though, argh.

I've got OBX headers for the AE86 in the garage. Need to pick a exhaust to go with it. Should be a nice upgrade.
